Ok, for all of you out there who are sick of hearing the magazines talk about how great the R8 is I thought this video of a little drag race between the C2S and R8 would be kind of fun (just watch the first 44 seconds). I guess the best question in this video for the R8 owner/driver is where did the Porsche go? - uh oh...

Yeah this video isn't too popular w/ the R8 owners club. You could make an argument that the R8 driver didn't get on the pedal quickly enough, but the problem is that the C2S pulls away from the R8 so far and so fast. Even though the 911 isn't considered much of a dragster (albeit the 997.2 Turbo would be a very potent drag strip weapon), the combination of 385HP and PDK acquit themselves very well on that abandoned airstrip. Holy crab, those PDK shift are lighting fast. In the end the C2S had to show some mercy.
