Pete,

Where is that (mexico blue?) 911 cab located? Is that the right color name?

I know it's tough to tell, but this is a blue 997. Midnight Blue to be exact.

Looks like "Seinfeld's" 993 Turbo. Where did you snap that picture?

This is called Blue Turquoise. Here are pics of Jerry Seinfeld's car, though it may have been sold since the pictures were taken. I do believe the shot with the PortaPotty, is Seinfelds old car.

Here is a thread featuring a Blue Turquoise Cayman S, one of my favorite colored cars.

Re: Let's see some Blue 911's!

I took that photo at the Metro-NY PCA concours event out in Long Island. I did overhead someone in the crowd mention the car used to belong to Jerry Seinfeld.

It had 8300 miles on it and the paint was glowing!

The car in Pete's picture has the same wheels, PCCB brakes and a rear windshield wiper that Seinfeld's car had. Not many 911s that I have seen have the rear wiper.

Re: Let's see some Blue 911's!

Funny thing, even though the calipers are yellow, the rotors were steel. I don't think the first generation ceramics were introduced until late in the 996 series, but I could be wrong...

Re: Let's see some Blue 911's!

Quite right, steel rotors. This car was advertised a lot, and I think that at some point Sloan had the car on consignment for $225K. Wonder how much the current owner paid?

Re: Let's see some Blue 911's!

$225K!

Was there something special about the car or just the fact that Seinfeld owned it? It's a nice car in great condition and all (lot's of interior carbon fiber bits) but it's not like a 959 or something...

Re: Let's see some Blue 911's!

I think it was strictly the "celebrity factor". Isn't this car a standard Turbo or is it a Turbo S? Seinfeld has ordered some interesting cars from Porsche that the rest of us certainly could not. I believe they produced a 993 Speedster for him and maybe one or two other specials.

Re: Let's see some Blue 911's!

How about a 2006 Cobalt Blue Metallic Carrera S. Not as common as Midnight Blue or Lapis Blue. When I saw this color I had to have it.
