    New GTS

Just got this about a month ago to replace my Panamera S (which replaced a 09 C2S). In my mind, this is the best 911 out there that doesn't say GT2/3 on it. What a fun car!

    Re: New GTS

All these Spyders!!! I think those are some of the best Porsches out there. I was originally trying to convince the wife to let me get one of those (and lease an Explorer as my DD), but she wouldn't bite: wanted a car w/ rear seats so the 9yo wouldn't have to sit in the front until she's grown enough.

Who am I to argue when the wife says I can't get a Spyder, but CAN get a 911???

Hopefully it's not too difficult to swallow your pride and do as directed....

    Re: New GTS

    GTS looks awesome!! Congrats.

Is the emblem on the back gloss black of matte black? I need a gloss black S and am wondering if the dealer could order one using the part number for the GTS cars. I guess the new black edition cars might have them if not the GTS. Also are the side emblems the same as the one on the back or are the decals?

The model designation on the rear is in Matte Black while the one on the doors are decals. Bumperplugs.com has the S logo (body color for $95) and the Cayman S logo (body color for $179). I'd check with them first as they are always less $$$ and great quality.

What a beautiful car. I sure could have used some back seats lately.

How do you like the centerlocks? I want to get mine off to give them a good cleaning and coat of wax, but haven't ordered the torque wrench yet!

    Re: New GTS

    Great-looking car congrats!!!

If I had to have a 911 my preferences would be in the following order (any other thoughts?):

    1. GT3 RS 4.0
    2. GT3
    3. GTS
    4. Turbo S
    5. C2S

I would never get a 911 cabrio or Targa.

I love your car!!! Great color choices and alcantara inside. If I were you I wouldn't be able to resist Sport Classic stripes and front lip.

The only thing I don't like about them is the lack of ability to add spacers. I think the rears need to be pushed out a little bit. My C2S had 5mm front, 14mm rear and sat purr-fect. No such options here unless you get aftermarket wheels. I've wondered whether GT3 wheels would fit and have heard varying opinions on them. Even though they're a little wider, I know the GTS can handle 12s in the back...it's a question of the offset.

I've also never been a major fan of black wheels because it's difficult to see the design of the wheel. But I do like the contrast, especially with the silver lip.

Other than that, I love them!
