So I get a call from the dealership today and right off of the bat the salesman said "I know that you said you weren't looking to purchase a vehicle until early 2011, but a great deal just came in..." Basically, someone just traded in their Guards Red 2008 Cayman with 2,400 miles on it and in mint condition.. Has Bi-Xenons, "Preferred Package Plus", Auto Climate Control, Self Dim Mirrors/Rain Sensor/ Heated Front Seats/ BOSE Surround Sound and Sports Exhaust. The asking price is $40K, and I most definitely think that I could get it down to at least $35K..however, here are my concerns..
From the first day I walked in I made it clear that I wanted a CS..granted, this will be my first Porsche, but for some reason I imagine that driving the regular Cayman vs. the CS to be two totally different experiences... First off, do you think that the above description is a good deal, and, if so, do you think I'd be disappointed in getting a normal Cayman (I believe its 245hp vs. 295hp). Granted, I honestly don't think I'd even get to maximize the potential of a CS since I'm not a track driver and won't often get to "blow it out" on the road.. I threw in a photo from my phone. What do you guys think?
