Hey guys- thought it would be cool to figure out an annual gathering JUST for 2.9 owners...(maybe all 987 owners :) are welcome?) It may be a small gathering based on the volume of our cars produced, but an awesome one nonetheless!

I'm adding a poll to this thread to figure out where the majority of owners reside. I think a lot of us are willing to make a pilgrimage. Share your thoughts!!

How cool would a COTA 987 meet be?!?!?! LOL, or any other race track for that matter. How about Driveway in Austin? driveway-austin
COTA would be amazing...why not get an 'extended' gathering @ Boxsterfest in September? Could also look at TWS (closing at end of year, amazing track)

Looks like Phoenix, Dallas, and DC are leading

Based off #s so far, and logistically speaking...Looking like Phoenix and DC are gonna make the most sense to make easy for most # of people.
For those of us in Texas, we should organize some track meet ups.

Any recommendations by the guys in Phoenix/DC for best places to do an event?? Could be a track, an area with sweet roads, ect.

Could just plan an annually rotating event location, such as a different track somewhere in the US. A different National Park each year could also be used as a base location for scenic group drives and get togethers. Not Yellowstone nor Glacier, wouldn't want to risk the newspaper headline of "During their annual gathering, a group of Porsche owners are mauled and eaten by a sleuth of grizzly bears".
