    Dealer Oil Change Cost

Several have asked that we post cost of Oil Change. I had my '07s first oil change at 7,500 miles, at my dealer near Raleigh, NC The cost was 95.00 for filter & 10 Qts Oil. Labor was $89.00. Hope those figures help others.....

I paid $50 for oil and had Stuttgard Automatic do my 20k check. They charged $80. So total $130. If I bought the cabin air filer on-line (I previously changed so did not do that), it would have been an additional $14.

I paid 123.00 in Richmond Va. Their oil filter & my oil. Cost included safety inspection & fluid level check. This was a first change at 5K miles.

    Sapple89:

Try Pacific Porsche in Torrance. I have only 7K on mine so it is a little early.

    Good luck!

Um no I disagree with that and think you're simply getting ripped off. Did you take your car to Newport Beach Porsche? I got mine at Pacific Audi in Southbay even though NB is closer. They charged me about 70 bucks less.

DIYers like myself might disagree. 2 5-qt jugs of Mobil1 at Wal-Mart (~$40) + 1 oil filter from Porsche (~$20) means I saved $235 for ~2 hours' total effort, shopping time included. Let's try not to be judgmental, please. PS I paid cash for my Cayman.

Yes, but you need the computer to clear the codes and check the engine. My total was $130 with all that. So for an extra 70 I did not have to deal with waste oil disposal and someone at least looked everything over. (This was my 20k checkup.)

Paid a local garage owner $20 for labor. I brought the oil, filter, and o ring. What codes need to be reset? I haven't had anything pop up through two (8k and 16k) oil changes.

When you get to around 20k, your center dash will have a warning saying "Service check needed" or something similar. That needs to be cleared via the Piwis. Also, usually the mechanic looks at the Piwis to see if any engine code are showing up, I assume regarding timing and so on. They don't really have to do anything, just check to see there are no problems. Presumably this could be done very quickly.

I got a coupon for $20 to get the dealer to do mine, instead of for the regular price of $300.
