If any of you have installed a Bird Automotive bicycle rack on your 987 Boxster or Cayman, I'd appreciate seeing a pic showing which bolts
from the underside of the car are used to attach the 2 receiver pipes. Anyone who has one will know what I'm referring to.
I plan to purchase the Bird Automotive receiver tubes, but if they aren't willing to sell me the receiver tubes only, I'll then make my own
and attach them to Yakima bike rack tube and fork mount components. I don't much like tubular trunk racks like those sold by Bird.
I made my own bike rack for a Triumph Sprint, and also a windscreen for the Boxster, so I'm confident that a DIY bike rack for the Boxster will be

Bicycle and rollerski's aboard the Sprint. I've logged nearly 2,000 miles with this setup, so durability and stability are not an issue.
My rack will be similar to the one on this 986, but with simpler, no holes drilled receiver pipes.... once I see how they attach
