Getting the most room out of a Boxster

I am 6'4" and I always feel a bit cramped in my Boxster as far as head room and leg room. Would the sport buckets help? Unfortunately I don't think I can get the Tilting Steering wheel on it because it is an '03. I already have a telescoping one. Does anyone know if there is a steering wheel or a seat for the tall Boxster drivers? Is there a trick I am missing? Would the center console delete help because my leg is always resting up against it or rubbing up against the steering wheel?

Thanks

Also 6'-4", with 34" inseam weigh 200 lbs, had a 99 Box but now have 08 Cayman. I personally had no problem with space in my Box, but I found a much bigger problem than headroom. One day after I bought my Box, I stretched out and leaned my head back as far as it would go ... and I hit my head on the rollbar. I tried every seat adjustment and there was no way to avoid my head hitting the rollbar in a rear-end collision. Think about what would happen to your head in the event of a strong rear-end collision. This is IMHO a design flaw which Porsche corrected with the 987 and Cayman (they have both more headroom AND taller seats). There is nothing you can do about this problem with your car at a reasonable cost. Sport seats are cost-prohibitive IMHO and you won't even know if they solve your problem until after you install them -- that's a big $$$ gamble). I traded the Box because I didn't want my head split open in a crash. If your head doesn't touch the rollbar in a collision, then trust me, you have plenty of headroom.

My Cayman gives me about 4" of headroom with the seat fully down and the seatback is much higher than my head. VERY roomy, I can even raise the seat quite a bit with no problem. It feels like there is more legroom, too, although I really never had any legroom issues with the Box. With the legroom, you just have to move the seat back as far as possible and remember that you aren't in a Cadillac.

You make a great point about the roll bar and my head touches depending upon how I sit. If I sit more slouched then my knees are rubbing up against the steering wheel if I sit straight up then my head hits the roll bar so I have to sit somewhere in between. When I go to the dealer and I sit in a 987 I feel so much more room but I really don't want to get rid of my Boxster. I also don't want my head split open. I will have to figure it out.

Thanks

Would this be enough headroom or would I need a taller seat?
Sorry for the crappy pic. It is the front camera on the iPhone. This is in the driver seat looking from the passenger side.
