How to replicate a Porsche Sports Exhaust

Ok, the title was a question and not the title of an article.

The thing is, I cant justify paying $2000 + on a PSE plus any installation involved. I understand that the original PSE is a regular exhaust but with some bypass pipes... and vacuum, etc. My question is, can it be replicated in (my exhaust for example) by adding the required bypass pipes? I do not care if i have no quiet mode or whatever that's called, I just want pure sound!

Hey guys, I know there are many knowledgeable poeple around here, so please, chime in with your knowledge and maybe I could go ahead and try it.

Have a great day everyone and happy Halloween!

Well, anything that you do to increase the loudness of your exhaust in CA is breakin' the law, FWIW.

If, today, on Haloween, you were to order that system from Suncoast. you get a discount. And it comes with everything you need, sans tools, inluding instructions.

For me, the Free Motor Sound Package is just the ticket. Whenever I go to a track day or auto-x, I get my spiffy matt black wheels on and open up the bypass pipe. The louder exhaust is great so I can hear the engine while my helmet is on, and in 10 minutes I can quiet down the exhaust for the ride back home.

Cheap and effective.

I've had the "free motor thing" for about a year, plus I made 2 holes about half an inch in diameter right before the mufflers... that gave me a high pitch sound, and then the cross pipe opened gave me a more deep sound, and combined i think it sounds ok, but now i want to do something else.

i would like to refine the sound a little bit more, and maybe by doing some custom bypass connecting the "pre-muffler" section with the exhaust tips may change the sound to better. I even thought about cutting open the mufflers and playing with it, I wonder what our mufflers look on the inside... any pics?
