I'm sure you can get a set of used PASM springs from a member here for cheap. They are 10 mm lower which it seems it is what you are looking for.

When I was under the car removing the exh bolts I had a look at the suspension to see if it would be possible to lower the car 1/2" as suggested above using the standard suspension.
Only way I could see to do it would be to slip the actual suspension unit down through where it is connected into the hub assembly. Looks like the damper casing could go down a 1/2" or so.

Any comments ?

The springs I've been wondering about are the Boxster Spyder springs, that lower the suspension 20mm compared to a base car. I'm guessing Porsche springs are very expensive, but the Spyder ride height is perfect, to my eyes. I know the Spyder is 200lbs lighter than the Cayman S, but I can't believe it's a deal killer, since the Spyder has a very stiff ride.

and PASM springs lower 10mm... and they are surprisingly inexpensive through Suncoast. spyder set F&R about $310

Cut your springs

The ROW springs are 10mm lower also. I used them in my 2000 Boxster and they were closer to $100 a set.

Then it sounds like you would need the 20mm drops quoted here.

Then it can be used PASM springs on Non-PASM shocks. That's I want to know. Thanks.

slightly OT, but does anyone know for sure if PASM spring rates are higher, lower or the same as non PASM springs?
I am interested in this, too. I find de Non-PASM springs softer than I like. But I want drop my car only 20 mm and don't find any options to do this.
The Spyder springs need new shocks and more modifications if you want to use it on a gen1 Boxster. And the others springs (H&R, Eibach) always drop between 30 and 35 mm. Only coilovers like Bilstein B14 can drop 25mm but they are expensive.

After lowering my Audi S4 w/ eibach springs and Bilstein shocks, I've had a lot of unexpected problems. Mostly bottoming out in dips, allignment problems and tire wear issues. Coil overs that are adjustable for height may have been a much better idea but Alas much more costly. My Cayman S seems lower than my Audi stock . I still have to creep through the dips in the cayman. So just keep this in mind when lowering and watch those curb stops / dips / doors hitting curbs etc, they can sure tear up body parts if your not REAL careful! The Bilsteins were a great enhancement change on the Audi (Lowered Springs - not so much)..
