Late/rough Tiptronic shifts on cold start

My 2005 tiptronic boxster shifts late/ rough for the first few minutes of cold start. Manual shifts seem unaffected and are as expected smooth. I live in Florida, so never any freezing conditions, however, does seem more noticeable during the colder months. The car runs perfectly otherwise and the fluid and filter have been replaced DIY with no change in behavior using Pentosin ATF. Are there software updates for the transmission? TSB's? I would love to remedy this to make a great car perfect! This is not the way a top tier luxury sports car should shift.

I've owned the car for just over a year and have put 14,000 happy miles on her. She is now just shy of 103k.

Your input is greatly appreciated. :thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks:

I know when I was working in the 2004 996 c4s the only way to reset the trans was durametric or Porsche. I had it disconnected for 2 days while I finished the work and it was still in limp mode. Reset at dealer(friends with techs) and it was instantly out of limp mode. In my case I ran the engine in the car without the transmission that's why I needed it reset.

Its definitely not in limp mode. It will shift through all gears. It's just very notchy and slow the first few minutes after a cold start. I've read on various posts that this is normal, and I believed that at first but I'm starting to have doubts. It's certainly something I could live with, I'd just rather not. If I ever find myself at the dealer, this issue will definitely be on the list.

Thank you for your input!
