Hi all,
07 Cayman S / Certified Warranty
First day I picked up the car the clutch was really stiff, and later it started developing a squeaky noise.
I just dropped it off at the dealership yesterday for a warranty repair.
I did some research and figure it could be the "throwout fork" defective or the "clutch release bearing".
The advisor is suggesting I have the clutch replaced also, which is about $1500
My CS has 45k miles on it currently, and the clutch seems perfectly fine,
1. should I have the clutch replaced?
2. how much it would normally cost for clutch? parts / labor?
if the throwout fork causes the clutch to wear unevenly, will the warranty cover the clutch? I am pretty sure the dealership just want to max out their profit so I am not sure if I should just keep the current clutch
