ECO Button

Question, does anyone know if the ECO button on the climate control isn't used, is the AC compressor working? I guess is it like an anti AC button?

I believe that the 'ECO' button is simply an on/off switch for the compressor. That is what the dealer told me anyway.

Nobody told me, but that's what I assume. It's great the way it stays on after a restart. In my Z I was always racing to the button after turing the key.

i think if you have auto climate control, yes, the AC compressor is on a lot of the time. at least that's how it works on my infiniti. the P dealer told me the same thing and said if you press the eco button, then the AC compressor turns off.

Eco button turns off AC compressor, I usually have the ECO button lit up most of the time for that extra ounce of performance...

Problem over here is the humidity. Without aircon widows steam up in seconds, and at 2-3 deg C it's too cold to have the midows down to clear the fog.

AtlasCroc....It's easy to figure out as I drive the same way...Have even been known to drive with the heater on high and widows down just to enjoy the drive experience in the cold.....

Ironically, I find that I love driving this car with the windows down as it makes the drive all that more involving. So far this year I haven't needed the A/C on with the windows down. Drove the Ortega Run with the windows down all the way, that, combined with nearly 5 gallons of racing fuel, made that the best drive ever.

    Jackwood,

I agree, there is nothing worse than a steemed up 'widow'. I prefer married women myself.
