[QUOTE=CosmosMpower;605469]The porsche maintenance booklet with the car said plugs were every 4 years or 40K miles. QUOTE]

You may want to double check that for 2006

Porsche Maintenance Interval
My car has 52K and is an '06. It's got original plugs and runs like a top. I am going to change them just so they don't get stuck in the heads. I'm not imagining that there will be any performance or economy improvement.

I just went through that exercise with my Benz, MB recommends 100K mile replacement, i to was concerned about them get "stuck to the heads" so i changed them at 80K miles (2 per per cylinder, ouch!). No issues at all with removal, and they all looked fine and replaced with OEM Bosh Platinum plugs. So the 60K mile interval doesnt worry me....

Probably going to order from you as well but how come the kits don't exactly follow the service guidelines for mileage from Porsche? Isn't it 20K, 40K, 60K etc instead of 12K, 24K, 36K, 48K?

I guess I need a kit for:

Air filter, Pollen filter, Oil filter, Spark plugs without all the other stuff like wiper blades, wiper fluid etc.

Re: Cayman S Major Service

These are the maintenance schedules from the 07-08 cars. I guess Porsche changed it mid model year... The 05-06 987's will have the 20k, 40k, 60k schedule, but we went the newest recommendations from Porsche just to be safe.
