My rears don't crack... from my experience and reading from other guys on this forum, the stock OEM front rotors may start cracking even after 1 track day. This is obviously okay, because until they crack to the edge, or you start "connecting" the dots, you can still track them. I'm curious as to how long these slotted rotors will last, but so far they have been great. I dropped "seconds" at Auto Club Speedway my last event, that track is very hard on brakes.

Do you know how much the rears will cost? I am not due yet but I might be interested in fronts/rears and cryo them for future use.

What is the basis for your ambivalence (e.g. cost/benefit ratio, reliability, quality control, fitness for competition, etc.)?

Also, please post an update when parts arrive so that one may order a full set of slotted rotors.
We've tried it on a few cup car rotors and didn't see enough of a difference to be worth the money/time getting it done. After those initial trial runs with it, we haven't pursued it to tell you the truth. If I had a quick and reliable source for getting it done maybe I would have stuck with it longer and tried it on other cars and compounds.
I know some people swear by it though.

The rears are going to be the same as the front at $229 each rotor. For some reason or another, it is costing the same to get each done.

I would certainly be interested in your feedback if you do decide to get them cryo treated.

I think they don't add much performance though but I am not sure. I do know that my friend that races says they last a lot longer.

Since he told me to go see his friend that cryos, I will probably try it since I am sure I will get a good price to have it done. Definately worth a try though. He told me that the pads are definately worth it.

    Thanks!

I will ask my friend again how much longer his pads and rotors lasted and will also look into the cost to see if it is worth it.

    I will let you know.

    Hey Guys,

I apologize for the wait on the full F/R sets. I have been told that our shipment of rears has reached US customs. I'm hoping that they can be precessed and available to ship next week! I'll update again when I have possession of them.

New style front AND rear rotors are going to start shipping out on Wednesday, January 18th! I am taking orders for the new rotors now. If you would like to place an order, please send me an email to eric@herg.net with the following info:

    Name
    phone #
    Shipping address

I will then create an invoice for you including shipping costs and return it to you in an email. I can take take VISA and MASTERCARD payments over the phone to finalize and process your order.

When the rotors are unpacked from the crates and packaged up, they will start shipping on Wednesday the 18th. Orders will be sent UPS ground shipping unless you request express shipping at the time of your order. I can only ship two rotors in a box because of the weight. If you order four rotors, you will receive two boxes of two.

Pricing is $458 for a pair! Front are $458, rears are $458. A full set of four is $916. Sales tax if shipped within CA.

    New rotor pictures:

These are a set of rears that have been track tested and approved!

Just to give some feedback on these rotors, since I've switched to these in the front....

I ran them 3 days at Laguna Seca, 2 days on the Roval at Autoclub Speedway, 1 day in the infield, 3 days at Willow Springs including a 15 lap Race and have only seen a little wear, no cracking or any issues. I also daily drive my car to work everyday, and have probably put about 4000 miles overall on them. On OEM rotors, I would've seen significant wear/cracking by now. I run Pagid Yellow pads and Motul brake fluids. I'll be switching to these rears in the near future.

Thanks for the update . . . it's great to have an OEM alternative to the "holy" rotors.

Any thoughts about a group buy? During the winter, I'm working on several upgrades, and if I had the full rotor set, I could do the brakes and be ready for FL Citrus' DE next month.

    Just a suggestion...

I'm guessing that would be + S&H. Unfortunately I still need to wear mine out. Hate to buy and have it sitting for a year or so. GL
