Which Parrot system did you use? I'm also looking for a solution for my '06 CS. The FM transmitter/charger I'm using now just isn't cuttin' it for audio quality.

    Thanks

I have a 2011 Cayman with standard audio + Nav. I copied all my music files from my phone onto a USB memory stick and plugged it into the USB connector. Works seamlessly from the dashboard control screen. Streaming Pandora from my Blackberry works through the AUX connector, but obviously there isn't any control from the dashboard.

So, is the USB connector only available with Navigation?

Don't have it with 2011 Sound Package Plus.

Correct. The CDR-30 only has an aux-in. USB in costs $3k but you get Nav as a bonus.

    Re: Bluetooth Music

Sorry for the late reply. I installed the Parrot MKi9100 using the Quick Connect harness. The streaming music sound quality is good, and the voice quality is excellent. The whole thing cost around $400 and I installed it myself.

I was having the same problem with the FM modulator. There are now free radio stations in the SF Bay Area, so this is a much better solution.

    Re: Bluetooth Music

I use a Garmin 765T sat nav which transmits to the CDR24 in my 06 CS, I just have to tune in one of the station buttons to it's frequency ( which can be varied to be clear of other stations ) it also takes a 4GB SD card loaded with MP3's and works great for both functions. Not quite the sound quality of a CD but just as good as the radio.

Unfortunately, the Bluetooth to my smartphone either doesn't work well or maybe I need to add a second Mic somewhere non obtrusive. This is probably due to the caller's voice is through the speakers ( Bose system ) but the mic is built into the Garmin.

Think I'll buy an extension mic and check.
