GT3 grill installed!

Just finished the GT3 frill install, only thing is all of the pics I took somehow got damaged. All of the install pics my disc went bad I would have to take everything off and take the pics again. I actually cant take the GT3 grill off because It has epoxy holding it on. -tip FarnbacherLoles gave me, thanks guys

[IMG][/IMG]

I moved the Homelink sensor closer to the body so It would not be so exposed to the elements. I didnt have to but just felt It would get too wet. Its sealed pretty good.

[IMG][/IMG]

you cant really see it because I moved it so far back. doesnt effect the range of the sensor.

[IMG][/IMG]

I mounted the Grill perfect on both sides (even) I didnt realize even the Carerra GT uses the exact same part. -wife drives the jetta-

[IMG][/IMG]

I will be doing an article on this, guess I will take it all apart tomorrow

Special thanks to Jason at TischerPorsche for such a good price on the grill $24.85! Article coming soon...

**FOR THOSE OF YOU LOOKING TO DO THIS MOD YOU NEED TO BE BRAVE-CUTTING THE BUMPER WITH A DREMEL REQUIRES A STEADY HAND!! ALSO YOU BETTER HURRY AND ORDER YOUR GRILL SOON AVERAGE COST IS $48.00 PORSCHE WILL BE RAISING THE PRICE SOON I ASSUME. THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH MERCERDES WHEN THEY WERE SELLING THE AMG 4 PISTON CALIPERS FOR $250.00 A SET! THEY REALIZED IT WAS AN ERROR NOW THEY ARE $800.00 A SET. (my brother is a benz guy)

Thanks! Oh yeah I also cut hole one inch wide all along the top of the bottom cup so the air flows up and out the grill

Now you need to book some time in a wind tunnel to see if you get more downforce.
Looks nice.

I actually also used some plastic clips so you cannot pull it off without taking out the bumper. Also the cut out was smaller so you have to flex out the top of the bumper to get it out too.

A brave man indeed.

By the way lots of times disc recovery software can get your pictures off a flash card. I'd try that before taking your project apart.

I like it & the price is right. I'm going to have to talk to Suncoast Porsche when I'm there next week and see if I can pick one up before Porsche gets smart and jacks the price.

I actually have it on a sony mavica CD (mini) and I did not finalize it so only the new pics say read error with no images. All of the pics from removing the bumper are still on there.

I like it as well, but I think the mod is worth it mostly for people with white, silver, or yellow caymans, and maybe red. I don't think it would really show against my black cayman, and I think it would look odd against some colors, like blue.

If I had my white one still I'd definitley do it.

Good job porsche4ed, I had my done by a body shop. You should paint the inside black so that dirt will not show on the silver bumper.

I am so losing the hood badge.

I am going to get the TechART hood badge. I think it will make my car look cleaner because of the colors. The techart one in Black silver and red.

and sorry havent had time to take her apart to do the article yet I will soon though.
