Matt Black Techart Wide body + the roof intake???

Hello,

Does anyone know who is making the "roof intake thing" on the roof?
Sorry, I am not sure what it is called.

It sure is a nice add-on.

Thanks!

I got the photos from one of my flickr contact, the photos belongs to him:

He said he found this in front of an Art Gallery in Monaco

You are right...that is one sick car. Doesnt really surprise me that someone from Monaco is pimping around in that as billionaires live there.

Was thinking of doing something like this also.. doesn't look like its functional though plus you loose all rear window visibility. But still cool

You are right. “That is one sick Cayman” what type of wax would you use on it.

Re: Matt Black Techart Wide body + the roof intake???

Currently the closest I can find is the one on Hamann 997.

Not sure about the price from Hamann, but the carbon fiber one for Murcielago cost $4669.00

Or another one for SLR

The rooftop air intake must be functional. They guy covered up the normal side intake. I would have left both connected to the engine area anyway. Use one as intake and the other for extra cooling and ventilation.

Very nice car!

Re: Matt Black Techart Wide body + the roof intake???

The one on the Hamann car doesn't look functional. Unless the intake routes down and around the back window somehow. If they are funtional, awesome. If not then its kinda like when people put them on there Japanese imports and then don't bother to paint them. It will just increase the drag and probably sounds like there is a roof rack up there. Whats the point??

No idea, I don't think they are functional too.
Just thought it looks pretty cool, similar to the RUF CTR3.

I also can't find any info about the roof air scoop~ maybe it's custom made.

Re: Matt Black Techart Wide body + the roof intake???

The only way that roof vent could be functional is to have an air duct running from the back side of the roof straight down into the engine compartment passing through the passenger compartment behind the driver. Not only would it eliminate your rear vision, but it would be very hard to justify that much ductwork inside the car. Looks pretty "ricey" to me.

Re: Matt Black Techart Wide body + the roof intake???

The side intake on that car is still functional, its just covered up by the widebody panels in that pic. if you look straight on it still allows air to reach the side panels.
