Cayman with Dual Exhaust Tips, doable?

I have a Cayman in Shanghai, China.

I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust but have some questions.

    1. Is it possible to swap the stock Exhaust system with a dual tip on each side of rear end? Like the 911 does, even though the bumper doesn't have the spacing pre-made for dual exhaust?

    2. Is it possible to install dual exhaust that are aimed downwards so it won't be in contact with the bumper?

    3. Or am I stuck with only replacing the exhaust in the middle with 1 dual exhaust system?

    4. Is it possible to remove the silencers from the existing exhaust?

I hate to say this but a search of the existing threads/posts will turn up all you need to know. I'd do it for you but am in bind for time.

Re: Cayman with Dual Exhaust Tips, doable?

I was thinking of doing this, and I searched "dual exhaust," and only one thread was relevant and there only 2 posts, maybe I'm not searching the right terms, but this is something I might be interested in doing.

    Here's one:
GEMBALLA - Porsche Tuning at its finest
and I think a couple of other tuners do them. All are pretty pricey I think.

Anything is possible. However, you won't find many premade systems that will do this for you because they would require a major bumper change to work and most folks wouldn't want this. You will need to find a tuner that will make a custom system for you.

Do you not like the center tailpipe?

Like I said, anything is possible, but then you will have a hole in the center of your rear bumper where your tailpipes used to be.

Are your goals cosmetic? What do you want out of an exhaust system?

Anything is possible. There have been a few folks who have opened the factory exhaust and removed the cats and/or baffle plates. Removing the cats will add some sound, removing the baffle plates will make it VERY loud. To do this, you would need to find a fabricator capable of cutting and welding stainless steel.

I don't hate the center tailpipe.

Is there any performance downgrades or harm the vehicle/engine if I did find a shop that was able to remove the cats/baffle plates?

One of the main reasons posting this is b/c I'd like to add sound first, 2nd. increase HP.

-Also is it possible to change not the entire system, but only the tailpipe to change/add sound/HP? ie the muffler/tailpipe part and fabricate that onto the existing exhaust system?

Re: Cayman with Dual Exhaust Tips, doable?

Here are a couple of links for a rear bumper with dual exhaust for the cayman/boxster. If I recall correctly, they quoted me a price of 2000 Euros for both the bumper and the exhaust. I haven't done this yet, but it seems like a good deal for both the bumper and the exhaust.
