    Please post your ride height

There are lots of posts about lowering springs, though not much information on the actual drop after install. I feel post-install measurement info would be useful for folks interested in lowering their cars.

    Approx. mileage on springs:
    Brand:
    Front (in.):
    Rear (in.):
    Porsche compensation plates, if any.

I'll start with my OE setup:
    -2600 miles
    - OEM Springs (non-PASM)
    - Front: 15.0"
    - Rear: 15.5"
    - Comp plate: 3mm (f) & 6mm (r)

Would folks who have lowered their cars to post the measurement between the highest point of fender and center of wheel/axle? (remember to use some painter tape so you don't scratch the fender ).

Thanks 06CS! Reason suspension height should be measured from the center of the hub to fender is to remove any wheel & tire variance. When suspension is loaded, the distance from hub to fender does not change.

Some will simply measure the gap between tire and fender, but that assumes tire wear is even between different measurements taken, and also assumes wheel + tire diameter, air pressure are exactly the same between cars. Same issue for anyone doing measurement from the ground to fender.

What about H&R and Eibach owners?

Just installed Eibachs Pro-Kit on a 2008 Boxster S. I'll report again once they've settled after 250 miles.

    Approx. mileage on springs: 100
    Brand: Eibach Pro-Kit (part#7218.140)
Front (in.): 13-7/8 (just shy of 2 fingers gap) from 15"
Rear (in.): 14-1/2" (just shy of 3 fingers gap) from 15-1/2"
    Porsche compensation plates: 9mm (F) and 9.5mm (R)

Re: Please post your ride height

    OK, here are the measurements:

    OEM Springs (Non PASM)

    14.500 | 14.500
    -------------------
    15.875 | 15.875

Eibach Cayman S Springs with 3mm Porsche spacers added on each corner AND brand new 6.5mm bushings (Old ones definitely compressed 1-2mm over time). 15 miles and 24 hours to settle, pre-alignement.

    13.750 | 13.750
    -------------------
    14.875 | 14.750

    Delta

    0.750 | 0.750 (~20mm)
    -------------------
    1.000 | 1.125 (~25/28mm)

This is without any ballast in the car.

Re: Please post your ride height

Interesting thing to note is that on my 2007 Cayman S non PASM I had the 6.5mm bushings on all 4 corners while Lithium had the 3mm in front and 6.5mm in rear...

Re: Please post your ride height

I just changed to JIC cross shocks, and we set the ride height to 14 front and 14.25 rear.

Would have made it lower, but the spoiler in the front will hit everything.

Our goal with the ride height ( and over all ) is to make the car as balanced as possible.
