Question T309 Vs T316 Stainless Steel

I was trying to do some research on the T309 vs T316 stainless steel to compare which one is better in terms of everything (quality, welding etc...) but came up with a lot of chemical and technical data which doesnt mean anything to me. Any chemical engineers or someone with knowledge care to mention the differences in simple english? I know theyre both amazing and are superior to the 304 but i wanted to compare since Capristoicon uses the T309 and FVD use the T316 on thier exhaust systems.

Re: T309 Vs T316 Stainless Steel

Here you go: SSINA: Stainless Steel: Composition/Properties

304, 309 have better strength at higher temperatures than 316. 316 has moly, so it handles chlorides better, which could be helpful if you live where it snows or by the beach.

316 is also generally more expensive, at least compared to 304.
