Can you tell different Aston's apart?

I think aston martin makes some of the most handsome cars on the road but I cannot tell one from another, especially in pictures. I consider myself a car enthusiast but I can't tell one Aston from another. Especially if there are not next to each other. I know that they have a good design language but I can't believe automotive journalists never criticize them for looking exactly like one another. Now that Aston has been refreshening many of their models it's even harder, as a refresh varies in appearance to the same degree completely unrelated models.

Re: Can you tell different Aston's apart?

Once you see their lineup in person, you obtain a sense for the scale/size from one model to another. I nearly grabbed a V8 Vantage vs. the CS. The Vantage was just an incredible experience! Yet, the CS was just more practical for me to have as a daily driver. I'm thrilled with the CS... yet if you ever have the chance to drive the AM's, give it a go.

Re: Can you tell different Aston's apart?

Aston,Porsche, and most car brands have a style that each manufacturer uses to distinguish its brand. It is very easy for someone familiar with the brands to distinguish between models either in picture or in person. Because Aston's are less common observers may be less familiar with the car in general as well as various models.

Well that makes sense. I have never seen the line-up side by side. I've seen an AM8 in chicago in a showroom of michigan ave and a few on the road but that's it. There are two AM8's here in hawaii but we have no official dealer... Poor US!!!

Saw a DBS today at the local dealership.

That's one car that you can tell a difference...$250,000 worth of difference.

Hah, they have you fooled. There is only ONE Aston. Only depending on your wallet, they call it the dbs or the vantage, or wathever, and adjust the price accordingly ;-)

Beautiful Car...sounds gorgeous.....looks stunning but, ask Howie (see Post34 here http://www.planetporsche.net/united-...tml#post366851 About Physical size ie, the width of the car for driving on narrow country roads, here in England and the weight and trying to slow one down !! Steve actually said that he missed his Cayman so much that he may buy another just to go and play in !!!
