British Grand Prix
Weekend weather update - cloudy but dry at Silverstone
Six wins out of seven races for Button.
Anyone think one of the Red Bull cars can finish second in the championship?
Or will it be a Brawn one two?
Looking forward to qualifying.

Re: British Grand Prix
Yes qualifying for the last F1 to be held at Silverstone should be interesting indeed. And will be something to take the place of F1 politics for a brief moment although Friday is "D" day for the FIA/FOTA war.
Did you know that it takes two people five days to assemble the 3000 parts required to construct the Mercedes engine?

Yes I've very curious what will happen.
Three new teams have committed to the new rules it seems.
Hey, when did it become FOTA as opposed to FOCA? (teams instead of constructors)

Re: British Grand Prix
FOCA became FOTA sometimes after the last battle with the FIA several years ago I believe.

Would love to see a breakaway series return to all the classic European tracks once they rid themselves of Bernie the Extortioner.

Re: British Grand Prix
It's all about the B's this weekend!
Bernie and the future of F1
Brawn...SOOOO far ahead it's becoming a joke.
Button...how many points is he ahead in the championship???
Barrichello...a previous winner at Silverstone, so looks like Brawn 1,2.
Obviously hoping that the Brawns won't have it easy on Sunday.
I do miss the Senna, Prost and Mansell days...

As in Red Bull.
Vettel and Webber have them covered in friday practice.
Are the Brawns sandbagging?

Put Piquet in place of Mansell and I'll agree.

Big thumbs up for Piquet.
For Mansell I'll always remember Hungary '89 (started 12th and finished in top spot by passing Senna) and Silverstone 87' (reeling Piquet in lap by lap and passing him with just a few laps to the chequered flag).
Thanks.

Re: British Grand Prix
It's qualifying time.
Saturday practice saw Rosberg and his team mate Nakajima 1 - 2.

Not today.
You'll have to settle for 19th!
Vettel on the pole.
Button in 6th.
Let's see what they weigh.

Webber was not happy with Kimi.
"Kimi (Räikkönen) was, I don’t know, drinking some vodka or dreaming or something…
I don’t know what the hell he was doing. He should have been on the right
and he’s on the racing line, dreaming, so that wrecked my rhythm into Stowe,"

And a wow for Adrian Newey and a double wow for Silverstone and its huge number of engaged race fans.
(And a big thumbs down for Fox/Speed TV in the US for forcing us to watch four GP's tape delayed)

Re: British Grand Prix
The other really great drive of the day was Massa... he did very well with a bad handling car. The Massa of last year finally surfaces.
