Brilliant...And thanks ......now I can sleep at night. I suspected it could have been Schumy but dismissed it on financial grounds....more realistically thinking it was Tiff Needell or Jason Plato... but then they do their Fifth Gear show...so I thought it could be David Coulthard or Jensen Button.

Nah, I have it on good authority that Susan Boyle is the Stig. Haven't you noticed that the Stig always listens to classical music while driving? Susan's singing along, you just can't hear her under the helmet.

LOL! But I don't think Susan Boyle would fit in Schumy's race suit. Anyhow I was just informed by a mate in Yemen that the BBC has revealed that revealing Schumy as the Stig was a spoof:-

The Sun columnist then quizzed him on a rumour The Stig was "illegal in 17 US states". Schumacher, 40, replied: "No, it's much exaggerated. It's nine."

The real Stig's identity is secret!

That was a cute spoof. I find that show very entertaining. I wish my cable provider would run it.

Nope, not him... have watched F1 for amny years. have seen him drive othre cars in events as well, and that is Not hias driving style. The White Stig is more agressive, I would say an ex Rally or DMT driver....

Oh, but Susan's quite petit, about the same size as Schumi!

As I learned from watching clips from You Tube, Stig / Schumi were test driving the new Ferrari FXX on that show. And it is speculated on the BBC forums that either the test vehicle was Schumi's or Ferrari insisted that only Schumi could drive it.

Then of course Stig drove a Suzuki sedan, couldn't shift the manual gearbox, and steered the car repeatedly into the grass.....for what it's worth.

Top gear magazine has an article about the Stig. It is Michael Schumacher.

This was shown on an episode of the current season (13) about 2 months ago. It's widely believed that the whole "Michael Schumacher is the Stig" revelation was nothing more than a gimmick.

Its not Schumacher, The only way they could get the Ferrari on the track was for the owner to drive it but they wanted to show the stig driving so they dressed schumacher up. The Stig is not ONE person.

The whole Schumacher incident was revealed as a stunt only.. a cute one at that.

The Stig is an image, a mask, and certainly not a single entity.
