Well, it's been about 8 months since I installed my Fabspeed Catback exhaust - and I guess I've finally had enough of the drone.
I really like how it sounds under full throttle, and on the track, and have appreciated whatever HP increase it provided; but, as a daily driver, with a Tiptronic that frequently holds the RPMs right in the drone zone when driving around town, I decided to switch back to my stock exhaust.
I did decide to add the DREAM-1 exhaust collector....

Gorgeous weather for August in Hallett, Oklahoma, and a few pics of a fun day at the track:

Robert, who I made carsick a few months ago when I gave him a ride-along in my car, paid me back by outrunning me in his new, tricked-out JCW Mini Cooper S. I could still beat him down the straights, but with his Hoosiers, and me on NT05s, I couldn't hang with him through the turns.

Well, at 32K miles, including some 2 dozen track days, I finally decided to change my rotors. I have had a replacement set sitting in my garage for several months, but I kept feeling I could squeeze one more month out of them.
After my track day last week-end, I finally decided it was time - the fronts were showing a lot of cracks in the vent holes, and while none were "connecting the dots", or extending to the edges, the rotor thickness was also down to the minimum....

No, I didn't get pulled over for driving too slow at Hallett this month . . . but I did have an interesting vehicle to share my raceport with.
I thought it was a real police car when I first saw it (the Oklahoma H.P. do drive some mean-looking Dodge Chargers), however on closer inspection there were a few discrepancies, like the lack of radios and other usual law enforcement paraphenalia...

Got me some new grills - not the dental kind, but some mesh grills to protect the front radiators, which I ordered from Tess Tickle and Motordrive (and were designed by fellow Caymanite, ET19).
Unfortunately, the front radiators on a Cayman are pretty exposed to debris, especially on a daily driver and track car, and mine were starting to show a fair amount of damage. I thought the grills were a good idea, but I had been procrastinating with my installation, intimidated by the thought...
