Towing a Cayman with a tow dolly

Has anyone had any experience towing their Cayman/S with a tow dolly (6 speed)? Seems like there wouldn't be a problem says my local mechanic. Porsche dealer says you shouldn't because of suspension (whatever that means), my friend regularly tows his track 911 with a dolly. ??
