Those of you who participate in AX know that it can be an intense experience for about 40-50 seconds per run. So imagine going around a 40-50 second course 4 times in a row without stopping . . . that's Endurocross.

Our local SCCA club holds an Endurocross every fall for fun (doesn't count in the annual point standings) and it is usually my favorite event. This year the course was laid out like a big figure-8 with a cross-over in the center, a couple of chicanes and a slalom. It was about a 45 sec course, but we did 2 runs of 4 laps each. I can tell you that it is quite strenuous - I was nearly hyperventilating by the end of each run - but a heck of a lot of fun.

The videos below are my 2 runs. In the first run, at the start of my second lap (about 1 minute mark) you can see me almost spin out (slippery corner, cold tires, PSM off) but I managed to save it. Even my passenger was worn out at the end of the run.

In the second run, I managed to shave about 1.5 seconds off each lap. If you ever get the chance to do an endurocross, take it - it's a blast!

Warning: You might want to take some Dramamine before watching these videos.
