This will be my attempt to keep a blog on my experiences with my first ever Porsche - a Cayman S. I've dreamed of owning a Porsche, like many of you I am sure, for many years and now is my chance!
I hope to start off with a blog on my delivery experience, describing picking up my car (after a 4 month wait) in New Jersey and bringing it home to North Carolina.
After that, we'll see where the road leads me!

An entertaining encounter
A week or so ago I was at a local State park early on a Saturday morning enjoying some relatively warm weather and a nice long walk in the quiet woods.
Upon returning to the parking lot, I opened up the front trunk of the car to get out my shoes and change out of my hiking boots before driving home. I was sitting on the curb in front of my car, with the hood open, when a car stopped nearby...
The woman in the car rolled down the passenger side window and asked me if I was OK and did I need a phone or a ride to help out with my car.
At first, I wasn't at all sure why she was asking me this. Then it dawned on me, and I told her " No, thank you, I'm fine. On this car, this is the trunk, not the engine."
She took a moment to think about this, and said "Well, that shows you how much I know about cars!" and drove off.
It was certainly nice of her to offer, but I found it to be an entertaining story and another chapter in the "Where's the engine?" story of owning a Cayman.
