I picked up my 2008 CS today from the dealer after having to have it towed due to a dead battery. The car was just in for an oil change and service a week ago with no problems reported. I have had the car since January 2009 and drive it almost daily. I happened to leave it in the driveway for three days this weekend and could not even unlock the doors when I tried to start it up. The dealer once again found no problems and recharged the battery. The ordeal cost me nothing other than a lot of aggravation. Any one out there having battery problems?

Did you leave any electronic devices plugged in, e.g. cell phone or radar detector? That sounds pretty unusual for such a new car, unless there was something else draining the battery.

If you do a Search for "dead battery" you'll find a few threads to read, with a similar problem to yours.

BTW, you might get more response by posting this type question on the regular Forums; the Blogs are primarily where people express themselves and relate their experiences in more of a journal format. Unfortunately, not too many members read/respond to the Blogs.

    Cheers, Andrew

The dealer thought I left something on as well but I did not. I had smelled a whiff of electical smoke coming from the stereo system the last day I drove it and thought something might have shorted out though it still worked fine. The service guy attributed the smell to the ac coming on for the first time this season. The stereo checked out fine. Bill
