Automobile Magazine January 2008

'08 All Stars

They gave the Boxer / Cayman an ovation on their Top 10 cars. Both cars got more votes than any other car.

Cheers!

"What's that, you say? You're afraid people will think your Boxster isn't a real Porsche? Worried they'll think you bought a Cayman because you can't afford a 911? The staff of Automobile Magazine hereby informs you that those people are fools, and their opinions don't count."

Crazy thing is that they didn't mention how beautiful the Cayman is. I suppose it's because they combined the CS and the Boxster together.

As expected. The Cayman/Boxster 987s are the best handling Porsches around. Happy Driving.

Porsche management has known all along how superb their modern mid-engine platform is. They understand that the 986/987 represent the best of Porsche's traditional qualities of performance w/o the mega HP that seems to define performance in our current era. No surprises here for those of use who have appreciated these cars all along.

Yes, but unfortunately (if you own one), great if you don't and are looking to buy used, this doesn't, IMO, seem to be helping the cars retain great resale value compared to say the 911 chassis. New Car Prices, Used Car Pricing, Car Reviews by Edmunds Car Buying Guide etc.

Happy Holidays,
