The complete list of activities has not yet been set so it is too early to say whether there will be any DE or DE-style or autox or auto-x style or other driving events, etc.

I love Atlanta and it is only about 450 miles up the road from Daytona Beach. I put the dates down on the calendar. Any Zone 12 members interested in forming a convoy?

I put it on my calendar, so I'm in unless something comes up. I will be coming from West Palm Beach.

I would like to attend, but the dates conflict with the Jewish Holiday.

I am unaware of any Jewish holiday that forbids attendance at a Croctoberfest event.

How About Performance Contests at Croctoberfest?
We all want to know what our cars can do. So why not encourage excess and abuse at Croctoberfest?
We could host a few competitions with objective measurements:
1) Best 0-60 performance
2) Best 0-100 performance
3) Best slalom time.
4) Best skid pad performance.
5) Dyno-queen award for highest reported RW HP.
I think it would be cool. Cool enough that I would be the first in line to donate $100 towards the prize pool.
The Olympics (and F1) are dreary. No performance enhancing drugs. Boo. This should be a freakshow - let every tuner and tunee show up with as much modification as they can afford.
I suspect this would be a big draw for the fest - and would give us collectively some bragging rights on what our cars can do.

One word - insurance, I doubt PCA's insurance would cover us for such activities and I don't have the pockets to buy a policy that would!

Maybe not, but there are shops that have mobile dynos. I don't know about car-sized mobile dynos, but most large Harley gatherings I've been to have at least one motorcycle dyno -- you can do HP tests, or some shops will even tune your carb while you wait/watch. Maybe some local shop would be willing to come out and run dyno pulls for us?

Oh i don't mean everything would be forbidden just driving competitive events. Dyno runs are fine, we did them during Croctoberfest 1. The issue for this coming Croctoberfest is having a participating shop in the area if we want to put something like that together again.

I should of course be attending, and would love to convoy with any other zone 12's...as long as you east-coasters cross before Gainesville to get onto I-75.
Ken, I'm about 5 hrs from Atlanta, so not a local; but if I can be of any help in organizing just let me know.

Atlanta is only about 6 hours from Raleigh, so I'm thinking I'm in!
Wow - I get my first Porsche and the Porsche Parade and Croctoberfest both happen practically in my back yard within the year. Life is good!

Nope...I can get there in 3 hours doing the speed limit. I can make it in 2 1/2 doing 65+ (no comment on what but its not 120).
I used to live in Atlanta, so the drive from Asheville to Atlanta is very familiar to me, so I can make it with my eyes...err.....headlights off....err eyes closed.
