Swap Out Standard Steering Wheel to Sport Wheel

I want to buy a new Cayman - but I am not happy w/ the Standard Triangular Steering Wheel that comes on most Dealer Ordered Cars. There is a 250.00 Option Round SPORTS WHEEL...

MY question is can Dealer swap the steering wheel out?. One dealer parts dept. said not w/o major hastle due to airbag - but another dealer said it's not a big problem...

Yes, they certainly can, but they will probably charge labor or may be not.

Really? Cheap swap? My dealer quoted me $1800--said you need to buy an airbag and a wheel and several hours labor...

I am pricing the option right now. My car was delivered with the standard wheel and I will be changing. It will probably be more than the 250 but 1850 sounds way toohigh! Hopefully they can swap out the airbags.... ect. I will post an answer later today.
