Aqua Blue and NB

Anyone have a picture of aqua blue and natural leather? BTW would that work for everybody or does natural dark gray look better?

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

Aqua blue and NBL would look very nice, but my tastes put blues with greys and medium browns with greens, like Porsche racing green. So if I was ordering Aqua I would get either Natuarl Grey or Stone Grey full leather. Good luck with your choices!....it is tough!

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

I haven't seen Aqua in person yet, but I tend to agree with Atlas_Croc - grey or black.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

I feel your pain. I tried so many different ways so I could end up with NB. The colors that it worked best with just did not do it for me. I really was set on GT Silver and as per my other thread to you did not like the black headliner. Even today when I met a friend to show him my car that will be coming in I saw a GT Silver with NB turbo. Still love that NB. IMO it still looks awesome with GT Silver. Have you considered that? It seems that you are cool with the black headliner. I did end up with cocoa and very please seeing how that looks with GT Silver. Anyway back to your issue... Love NB with white or black as well. I never thought I would have changed from NB to cocoa but glad that I did for my reasons. Just know once you place the order you only have a little time to make changes. Once it is locked in that is it. Told my salesman today as excited as I am for my car to come in I will one day own a Porsche with NB. Scary, right? My car is not here yet and I am designing the next one. Some people would say we have a sickness. I just like to say I love cars and would love a garage full of different Porsches.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

After six years with a Seal Grey/Savannah Beige Boxster (SB was the consolation prize for NB), I ordered a Cayman two years ago, with NB. I love it, and it was definitely worth the wait! 987f

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

It's getting closer to decision time for me. Thanks for input. I'm pretty easy to please so likely will be happy with whatever I choose. Once honeymoon is over I don't spend much time staring at car anyway as I prefer just to get and drive.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

Natural Dark Grey is the most subtle of the interiors available, I think. Judging by the lack of any on the SoCal lots, it might be the rarest. I'm leaning that way...

What exactly do you mean by subtle?

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

Well... I think it's "softer" than the other colors, tone wise. Also, the stitchimg matches the leather, as opposed to the black full leather having beige (contrasting0 stitching. Try to find a dealer with one! (Good Luck...)

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

Wow... its pretty hard to find a Aqua Blue photo. LOL
I wonder if Porsche is trying to save money? On its PR and Print materials for 2010?

Is this it?

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

Sand Beige is the best for Aqua, imo...

A quick google search turned up this...

...I think it would look great over NB.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

I have a couple of nice pics of Aqua Blue. I also have to agree that Blue's tend to look better with Grey interior, it really sets off the blue nicely.

Here are a couple of Aqua Blue with Sand Beige interior, I know you were asking about natural but at least you have an idea.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

After seeing the above pics, I'd say that gray is a better match. But personally, I'd plan my exterior color around my interior color and stick with NB. YMMV.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

May I suggest Terracotta? I've tried it on the configurator and it looked fairly nice on AB!

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

Were I to buy an Aqua Blue Porsche it would have to be blue on black or blue on natural grey or stone grey. Blue/nat brown would look very nice but I think black looks best with grey coming in second.

If I ordered one, I'd get Aqua Blue on Black Full leather with red deviated stitching. 2nd preference would be Blue on Stone Grey Full leather with Black Deviated stitching and black floor mats.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

Another comment after reading carsteve's comments above.

What about AB with Stone Grey full leather & blue stitching. If I'm not mistaken they have a stitching thread color that is close to AB itself. That would probably look pretty sharp and different.

Re: Aqua Blue and NB

After reading this a couple nights ago, yesterday on the way home I was driving beside/around a few-generations-ago Ferrari in great shape, which had the colors you're talking about.

The blue was like the Aqua 911 in the photo upthread, and the brown interior was that rich brown, not the beige nor the cocoa, nor the orange-ish terracotta. I think it pretty closely matches the natural brown interior of the Porsche.

It looked beyond phenomenal. I"m not a fan of beige with blue, nor cocoa with blue. That medium brown, though... wow.

Before you buy something just because its conventional (grey, black), take a look around at other makers' cars with similar colors and see if you can find photos that'll give you an idea of how your desired combo would work.

That Ferrari looked rich and classic (and no, I'm not a Ferrari fan, I'm talking strictly about the colors). A Porsche config'd like that would be a keeper, methinks.
