Tip to PDK Steering Wheel??

OK This just in....

Looking for some push, pull action? Gigity Gigity

The new 2009 PDK steering wheel will fit all Tip from '05 to '08. This has been confirmed on another Forum as we have been speculating since the Gen 2 997 lunch in Hershey PA.

There are several options and colors to choose from.

Questions? Call, email, PM me

Re: Tip to PDK Steering Wheel??

How about finding a replacement for this wheel with one that has "real paddles" ?

Re: Tip to PDK Steering Wheel??

So does this mean that the steering wheel control module recognises the inputs from the PDK buttons ? Do the wires from the PDK wheel plug staight in to the original steering wheel control module or does the PDK wheel control module interface with the steering column control unit ?

Re: Tip to PDK Steering Wheel??

Berty987,

Yes, yes, and yes. It is a direct fit. No alterations. The up-shift & down-shift, and multifunction options work. PDK wheel plugs right in to the original steering wheel control module.

Thanks

Re: Tip to PDK Steering Wheel??

Nice... How much is that gonna cost?

I do hope that when the rumoured paddle shift wheel is released, it will fit directly as well!

Re: Tip to PDK Steering Wheel??

It feels the same diameter as all the other wheels. I have seen the threads discussing the wheel size and diameter and to me they are all the same

except... The Leather Padded Sports Steering wheel

and the Standard Alcantara Wheel & Standard Alcantara Miltifunction

To me the wheel has the same size and diameter as all the standard wheels. It maybe millimeters different and the bottom of the wheel is a little flat, but has the same general feel.

The rumored paddle shifter is just that rumored. I hope it is true, but the only buzz I have heard is on the forums. Nothing in print from Porsche about the R&D or marketing of such a product.

Questions??? Call, Email, or PM me

Thanks

Re: Tip to PDK Steering Wheel??

Quick question: If my stock steering wheel does not have those multifunctions, will the multifuctions work with this PDK wheel? Thanks...
