K-Man S: Do you think Wilhelmy will be willing to increase the discount with a grup buy of say 20 people.

Please book me in for a Wilhelmy IT Remote Key Group Buy.
One question, as I live in the UK, will the passenger mirror, not the driver mirror, go down upon selecting reverse gear?

Question? will it automatically turn off headlights for idiots like me?
the feature 'Home light on/off via key' is nice but still requires one to remember to turn off headlights.
anyone?

Hi,
yes we will! I think we could get down the price under $250.

I think this install is supposed to be easy enough to do yourself. But the question about reversibility has yet to be answered.

That's correct: It's easy enough to do it yourself.
We will NOT cut any wires or something like that, you can uninstall the module completely.

For your information: mods4cars = Wilhelmy-IT
Wilhelmy-IT is our old company name, we have changed it to mods4cars. The new website is www.mods4cars.com.

mt647,
It does not turn on/off your headlights. The Home Light feature allows you to have the light switch in the OFF position, but to still turn on/off the headlights via the key fob. Say you are unloading groceries and get out of the car and need more light, rather than getting back in just double tap your key and your lights come on and stay on for 30 seconds or you can double tap again and shut them off.
vthee,
I didn't put you down on the list yet because you didn't say you were in but were simply asking about installers. You can do this yourself but if you don't feel like it then any decent shop in Los Angeles could do this for you, I'm sure there are plenty around, check the Zone 8 forum I think shops were being discussed recently. Additionally if other members from your area order then perhaps you an all get together and do the installs together over a few brews...
fmarshall,
I didn't put you down either since you just asked a question, which has been answered, each of the features can be turned on/off separately so if you don't want the horn beep you don't have to have it.

Hi, I was one of the first ones that said I wanted it in the original thread last month - and yes I'm still in.
By the way, I don't see any option to disable the door chime - which I would still like to do, and my dealer here can't figure out how to do it - they seem have a bit a of a problem on anything techie.
Anyway - count me in.

Ok so then to update:
Gene
Smounic (install tester)
STLPCA
eecsdude
Fadiboy (install tester)
Aaron
Jaica
gemars (because installation is reversible and undetectable)
SilverSled
BSantini
Artman
JohnB21
RedEye
Mr. MRI
Poindexter
davidcanning (answer is yes, set that way on my car now)
k-man sculpture.net
RedRocket
18 total so far.
Now to answer your question K-man sculpture.net, the seatbelt chime is on a completely different CAN bus and cannot be controlled/eliminated by this item. What must be done to eliminate that is for your dealer to put your car on the PIWIS machine and turn off the setting for having a driver's seat belt. If they can't figure it out take them the depiction from sleepless or mooty as they described where in the PIWIS setting it is located I believe. A little fishing around in the PIWIS will turn it up for any competent mechanic.
