AFAIK no such option exists on US cars. There is a spot for it in PIWIS but when we tried to activate it in PIWIS it didn't actually do anything. If in fact such an option does exist please document how it was activated to share with others here.

the adviser seem to know what i was talking about please check TSB 9669 it is talking about delaying remote for trunk and hood but it also talks about comfort windows activating. I will find out later when I pick the car up. Meanwhile, I am enjoying my silver cayman loaner. I actually took the day off so I can enjoy this hoot of a car. I will post my impressions later vs my cayman s

I just read the spec for this device...nice features but one I'd like to disable:

The "Lock-In" feature locks the doors once the car starts moving. In contrast to the original Porsche feature which can only be enabled or disabled at the dealership, this feature is user-programmable and even better, optionally the doors also unlock when the engine is switched off and the key removed

I always run with the doors unlocked. I've read over the years about failed rescue attempts due to first to the scene rescuers (typically passing citizens who saw an accident) not being able to open doors and pull victims from vehicles.... sure, professionals have the tools to bust windows, etc. but they can be a long time in arriving. I'd like to see a system when the doors auto lock until you're at speed...say 25mph or so...allowing safety to exit dark parking structures, etc... re-lock for stops, signs, stop lights etc (thwart car jackings)...(system needs to be smart enough to know an accident is different than a traffic stop) then unlock at speed again...

Any creative geniuses out there?

Well that's what is nice about their product, any one of the features can be individually enabled or disabled, don't like the lock-in feature, then disable it. BTW, I've seen stats that show you are better off to have your doors locked in an accident to help prevent someone from being thrown out of a vehicle, so I'm sure it's those lies, damn lies and statistics again...

BTW the factory change to the trunk delay was instituted last year and newer Caymans have it already, it was a change from I think around 400ms to 790ms or something of that nature, but still less than a 1 second delay, whereas the Mods4Cars solution is about a 4sec delay.

ok, so I'm back from the dealer. Great service from Sue and the Mechanic Andy of Pacific Porsche. Specially since I did not even buy my car from this Dealer because we could not reach a deal.
As always K-man S is right and indeed new cars are delayed already at 700 MS. Andy actually showed me the PIWIS in action inside the shop, what Porsche mechanic would do that!
Comfort windows is not the ability to bring windows up and down from remote but it is just a one touch feature so the windows go all the way up without holding on to the switch inside again I think I already had the feature but they said they did turn it on.
Well at least they aligned my steering wheel, checked my mirrors and they did turn on the auto lock feature when the car moves at around 3 to 6 mph and best of all I got to drive the hell of a 5 speed cayman all day long. I also saw a super sup-up cayman s. and a 1994 one owner 994 in awesome condition with 170,000 + mile on it.
So where is the group buy? LOL!

Always good to know that my knowledge is correct. AFAIK Caymans ship with the one-touch windows up or down from the door panel activated, as well as having the window drop a little when the door handle is raised making it easier to open/close the door and still seal the window well. To get the auto window up or down from the REMOTE you need to have the Mods4Cars RemoteKey product installed. The same for auto-unlock, Porsche only gives you auto-lock as an option that can be turned on. And you've already noted that the increase in delay time from Porsche was minimal as compared to the Mods4Cars solution, but probably better than nothing without it...
