Never liked a white Porsche except the GT3 RS 4.0... Now I can say the 981 too looks gorgeous in white!!!

Congratulations...

Sweet! I have the sport design steering wheel in my '12 Boxster, and absolutely love it.

Can't wait to see some pics and hear impressions when she's delivered.

Re: Ordered a 981.S in italy!

Is the Sport Design steering wheel smaller in diameter and thicker than the standard one?
And also than the old one?

Re: Ordered a 981.S in italy!

Italy has some great roads to drive that I enjoyed immensely for 2000 miles in a rented 2009 Fiat 500. The narrower the road, the more I appreciated the car.

Re: Ordered a 981.S in italy!

Congrats! Very nicely optioned. Great color. Please do keep us posted on the process.

I think, based on pictures and having sat in the 991 with this wheel, that the 981 sport design wheel is the same diameter and thickness as the 987.2 sport design wheel.

The 987.2 sport design wheel was the same thickness and diameter as the 987.2 standard wheel. In other words, different looks, not different dimensions. You can see both versions pictured here:

Thoughts on 2010 Steering Wheel

The 987.2 standard wheel used to be the sport design wheel for the 987.1 and early 987.2:s. I think it changed with MY 2010. 987.2 wheels after this are thus thicker and smaller in diameter than the old standard wheel (triangle shaped hub).

Re: Ordered a 981.S in italy!

Thank you, Northernsuler!

I just hope it's thicker and smaller in diameter than then 987.1 steering wheel (triangle shaped hub), whom I've also got in my 987.2 MY2009.

Another question, with just an ECU tuning, a notourios italian tuner told me we could expect 15 hp gain and 10 Nm of torque. Is that true?

Re: Ordered a 981.S in italy!

Do you prefear, on the rear, the badge

"PORSCHE
Boxster S"

or just "PORSCHE" ?

I'm undecided. Please I need advice.

Just PORSCHE. Or just Boxster S. It needs nothing more than that. Or no badge at all.
