You need to bring your car back to service & free maintenance every 6 months
Last time I took my new Mercedes CLS 350 to coat there, after a week I have noticed the dirts on left fender. Firstly, I thought it was on the top coat and tried to clean it. (normally it is very easy to clean dirts on my CS with glass coating)
- water don't work
- soap don't work
- clay bar don't work
- bugs remover don't work
- buff with strong paint/scratch remover don't work
Until I noticed that the dirt spot is probably under the glass coat and I could not remove it, this shown that the glass coat has build a cleared protective layer over my paint and it has a very strong resistance to cleaning agents/chemicals. I took the car back to the service then they told me that you cannot remove the glass coat without using their special remover. they fixed the problem and re-coated the fender.
I took my cars for few road trips (combined trips = 3000+ miles) with top speed of 100-120 mph on motor way. I have not had any single/small rock chips or scratches on the front bumper. It is very impressive. (I usually get 1-2 small rock chips very time I take the car for a long road trip with high speed) it is not a bullet proof but it definitely helps to reduce the rock chips/scratches on the exterior paint. I have seen a 5 years old car with glass coat and it is still looking like new no yellowish issue.
