Costa Rican boxster spotted..

While ending a 3 week trip to visit Costa Rica . I was reflecting on wether anyone would own a Cayman or Boxster in a land with no signs , bad roads, a 100Km speed limit and endless semi trucks doing 10 mph up hills and just plain old slow trucks everywhere... then low and behold a Grey Boxster passes by! and a dealership in San Jose is in view. I had to check it out for curiousity sake. Only the SUV P cars were present in the window and no one was home... but Porsche lives in Costa Rica!! I hope his has a spare tire , parts must be a bitch! Probably the fastest car in CR..

Re: Costa Rican boxster spotted..

I could have used a boxster several times on my way back from the beach, there... Like you said, trucks doing 20 mph, no passing zones... Would have been nice to bang a lower gear and zoom by ! I don't see the logic either, the roads are bad - your wheels would live 3 months...that or you'd get carjacked first... Used to be really nice down there, now it's getting iffy - lots of unsavory immigrants associated to crime/drugs.

There'd be few places you could put the top down as you'd choke to death on the diesel fumes following those trucks up the mountains.

Re: Costa Rican boxster spotted..

While studying in San Jose, CR, the neighbors wanted to show off their Lotus Esprit... and brought a honking big yellow car for show and tell. Can't fault someone's passion, but talk about pointless when the roads are so bad. Also, I swear every car alarm in the entire city goes off at night time. Other than that, a nice place to visit!

Re: Costa Rican boxster spotted..

Just got back from Grand Cayman... saw a Ferrari California

I'm guessing there is no hiding from the cops (by blending into the masses of traffic) on an island so small.
