I dont quite understand how to use that template ... but I know how to cut and paste HTML .... so I built this for external color codes .... here
If this is OK, I can do the internal codes and pics easily. and these are official Porsche pics.
Code can't go by PM, too long
Code can be ripped by View Source in any browser.

P74 - BiXenon Headlamps
Here you go K-Man S,
HTML Code:
<p><b><font face="Verdana">P74 - Bi-Xenon Headlights</font></b></p>
<p><font face="Verdana"><b>Option Code</b>: P74</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana"><b>Price</b>: $1,090 (MY 2007)</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana"><b><br>
Description:</b></font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana">The Bi-Xenon headlamps are not only much brighter than
conventional halogen headlamps, but they provide a wider and more consistently
diffused supply of light in front of the car. Their blue-white color is
said to be very close to the wavelength of actual daylight and should
theoretically reduce eye strain.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana">Because HID lamps need time to ignite and warm up, one
bulb is used for both low and high beams. The output pattern is
electromechanically changed when high beams are requested, allowing light to
project much higher and further than the low beam pattern. </font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana">These lamp assemblies have halogen passing lights inside
them, for when short bursts of light are needed but there is no time to ignite
and warm up and HID bulb. They also have conventional lamps inside for
daytime running lights.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana">The Bi-Xenon headlamps are self leveling and come with
headlight washers.</font></p>

I have a question
What about photos and copyright issues?
Pointing to a Porsche Pic and giving the credit, is that OK or should we use the photos in CaymanClub gallery of member cars? Then again, the member owns the copyright of those photos too.

that warning can get you to a tire shop or home before it's too late.

TPMS - The Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides early warning of any drop in pressure by continuously monitoring the pressure in each tire and alerting you in the onboard computer display in the event of a pressure deficiency. It communicates the exact pressure of each tire and/or their deviation from ideal pressure. This does away with the need for regular air pressure checks at the service station, which often prove highly inconvenient.
See the TPMS FAQ for more info. |

We should not use copyright photos so please don't include any with FAQ submissions. As for member photos, anything uploaded here gives the website the right to repurpose it on the website so that's not a problem.

Question: So many of the suggested faq's are in the owner's manual that already is posted in the files section here and available to owners as well as non-owners/future owners. What is the recommendation for dealing with that? duplication, linking to the manual or?

I would say a link that points to a specific page in the owner's manual with a link to the manual at Gator Bite did in the PASM one.
FYI I've added the 2 new items from Gator Bite.

PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
|
 |
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

There is another description of "n" rated tires in the files section. Should they both be linked to in the event the third party site ever takes its down?

K-Man S,
I've finished another write up. Instead of copy/pasting here, please Click Here.
I'll try to keep adding to the list.

Very impressive GB. Now we hope people will use them to get the benefit of your sweat. Should the entries be dated? Some things like price/specs might change in the future.

That's why it's nice to have two sets of eyes on something. This seems so obvious, yet I didn't think of it. Thanks.... Updating now.....
Edit: Done. I added a line at the bottom showing the revision date, by month.
Sport Chrono
Sport Exhaust
PASM
Bi-Xenons
TPMS
Once K-Man S is done celebrating his birthday, he'll have to move the info into the FAQ areas.

I've updated those FAQs GB, thanks, great work!!!
Chows,
Can you send me an updated version of yours that does the following:
1) Fix black car photo for exterior shots
2) Add in other interior and wheels combos
3) Has your contact info and date ala Gator Bite's format?
If you need help I'm sure GB would be glad to assist!
I'm hoping others will volunteer to do even just 1 FAQ entry!
