Unlikely comparisons: 2007 Cayman S vs 1968 AMX

This was a new one to me. I stopped at the local gas station for some premium ($3.85/gal) and some oil for my mower. I'm chatting to the owner, and here's what followed.

"Is that your car at the pump?"

"Yes, that's mine."

"Do you mind if I look at the rear fenders?"

"Not at all," said I with a curious look on my face.

"You see, I have a 60's muscle car and I'm thinking of modifying it. I just can't quite figure out what to do with the rear fenders."

"What do you have?"

"It's a 1968 AMX."

I was a bit surprised, but he went on to explain that he liked the way the fenders on my CS curve out from the rear of the doors, and give the rear end a wider look. He proceeded to look at the car for a good 5 minutes, and I was happy to have it admired. He even got down on his hands and knees to look under the rear end and wheel wells. He was considering chopping it and bringing the hood line up to meet the A pillars, but he said people get annoyed with anyone who modifies one of just a few cars made.

Anyway, I thought it was probably the most unlikely comparison I could imagine.

Anybody have any others that are way out there?
