06 C S to a new X6 3.0 tt

I know these two cars are totally different. Apples and orange. I have a 06 CS tip with fully loaded options. After owning my cs for two months now and it has been unlucky/ not smooth for me. What do you guys think of X6? 90% of the time I drive by myself. Occasionally, maybe drive a friend or two at max. It's really pain in the *** to drive a Porsche in Taipei and gets too much attention. Cayman's trunk space is a joke. Ironically, sometimes I want to let people know I drive a Porsche X6 is pretty and 306hp with 2 + 2 seater. No kids or whatever. Any opinions? even that HP is more than current CS but it weights 2000kg while cs is roughly 1400kg

that's a lot.

interior part paint pealing off, bilstein damptronic rattle problem, exhaust got ripped off and this annoying rattle/vibration in the trunk that is there since day one I got my car. This car is my dd so sometimes it's annoying. I can't go to this and that. Always gotta find a good parking space ( which is hard unless valet all the time )

Not sure what you thought you were getting with the cs but the all the problems you say have easy solutions that you can find on this board. I think the x6 is expensive and in my opinion a very ugly car. There are a lot of other options out there if you want a four door car at that price.

X6 is a joke. Get a 335i or M3.

Agreed. It's not really a SUV and not really a coupé, and it's definitely not both! That said, you're probably going to have a car, that not many have (or have even seen) - if that matters. The handling is claimed to be very good, and the resale value better than average. The 3.0 with twin turbo iss the best engine BMW has built for a long time, I think. But I would definitely choose a 335 over the X6 at any time.

Dont lynch me but I think the X6 looks good and I can see myself owning it albeit it will be an addition to my 987 and other cars BUT not replacing them.

Knowing what I know of Taipei (I go there every year to visit in laws), I can understand why it can be a pain to drive the Porsche on a daily basis and can also understand the glam factor :-) which is a plus since you are single :-)

Its your dosh and only you know all the data you need to consider to arrive at a decision. Either ways I think they are all fine cars for different reasons.

eh...x6 is just another car bmw is coming out with just to have another model. it isnt a good looking car. if you want something with more space and is more refined, get a Porsche Cayenne...its a much better car than any bmw suv, bar none.

Why not buy a cheap daily driver and keep the Cayman too? Then you have a daily driver that you don't have to care much about (parking spaces, attention, etc), and you have your Cayman for when you really want some fun.

I've tried this a couple of different ways and I find the 2-car solution is best. I've tried having 1 car that is a compromise between all the things I need and want to do, but the trouble is those cars never are the best at anything. They just do most things pretty well. I wanted more. I wanted the best. I wanted the best handling car around that was also classy and reliable. I wanted the best fuel economy around. Car#1 is the Cayman S, stays clean since I drive it only in good weather, and feels really special when I take it out (because of car #2). Car #2 is the daily driver (Prius in my case) for bad weather, long commutes, trips to Costco, movie theaters, etc. Having two separate cars that are the best in their respective areas is the only way to go. For me, I was never happy with one car that was a compromise.
