A few days ago AutoBild posted a video featuring the impressions of a guy driving both the Cayman S and Corvette C6 (costing 5000 euros more), with the question: which of the two cars, Chevy or Porsche, gives you more for your money?

Answer: the Porsche.
As an aside, the current AutoBild cover features a drawing of a future mid-engine sports car in yellow, made by Volkswagen (supposedly starting at 25K euros - half of the list price of the current entry level Cayman).

If the next entry-level Cayman doesn't get a direct injection engine (this would be a big disappointment, in my view) and such engine were to remain in the line-up until 2012, perhaps the VW might not be a bad alternative. Judging from the drawing, it does look more similar to the Cayman than the future mid-engine Audi convertible (also on the cover) does to the Boxster.
