Cayman and Boxster ComparisonsThis sub forum is for messages specifically about comparing the Cayman or Boxster to other cars. For example how the Cayman compares to the 350Z or the Boxster to the S2000 or SLK, etc.
Yeah, probably. I had an order for a 997.2 but I think I'm going to defect to a GTR. I'm not in any great rush because I don't expect the GTR for about 4 or 5 months.
It's an impressive car for sure. I liked the previous version, and I really like this one. If it had a manual tranny, it would have been on my short shopping list before I bought the CS.
One thing I don't like,.....the engine note. It just doesn't sound like a V8, almost sounds like a big motorcycle to me,.....anyone else?

Which engine note are you speaking of which doesn't sound like a V-8?
The C63 in the video you posted.....just doesn't sound like a V8 to me. Now the "Black" cars sound like a V8
Drove the V-8 C63 AMG today. Sounds like a V8 from inside, but more importantly, scoots like a V8. I have enjoyed visiting this forum while having the Cayman fever, however, the Merc stole my heart as soon as I punched it today. My hat is off to all the members here. See you out on the road!
Bought the C63AMG last month, have less than 400 miles on 'er now, glad to have my first sports car. Has the performance suspension and drives like it has tiger paws. Remember the old Uniroyal commercial......!
I traded in a CLK 500 for my Cayman S... No regrets at all. I just can't get used to people taking pictures of me driving my CS when I cruise down at South Beach...
