Is joel-cs getting a new car?
Is it true?
Has joel-cs sold his Cayman racer and is moving on? I saw a post on another board where a new owner has been using my pictures of his car asking for advice on a new body wrap.
Say it ain't so joel!

That would be a good car to take to the track, sadly I cannot find any near me that aren't driven by mamby pamby hoity toity Ferrari owners that bought it for status/looks vs wringing it out on the track... I'm like "give me the keys dammit..."

Wow, that's a huge step up in commitment. It's amazing how stock those challenge cars are.

I have heard from an F430 owner that the stock brakes eat through a $700 DIY set of pads every track day. He is upgrading his brakes for roughly half the cost of a Cayman S (the whole car). He "wrings it out" on the track.
Now is the time to pick up an F430 under $150k. But plan on a grand a day for track use.

Re: Is joel-cs getting a new car?
I have 2 friends that both track their 430s extensively and have not had this issue. One has the Ceramics and his is bone stock the other is on steels and he uses PFC pads and motul fluid with no issues.

Yup, it's true - I sold the car. Went to a good home. Look for it to run again at Lime Rock next month.
Unfortunately, no challenge car for me! Stay tuned to see what the future holds. Not giving up racing....

I saw said car at FarnbacherLoles on Friday. All I can say is the person who purchased that car got one heck of a deal.

Rad, didn't you just sell your BSR to Ms. M, aka: Blondurant, Caygirl. She just couldn't stay from the midengine goodness.

Re: joel-cs getting a new car?
Hey Rad, you are the same Rad from Rennlist selling the '07 GT3 RS? Sweet deal, very nice car. First time I was ever really tempted for a 911. Joel-cs should have been all over this.
Anyway, Rad, welcome to PP.
SOLD: 2007 GT3 RS, Orange, 23,000 miles, Warranty until April 2011 - Rennlist Discussion Forums
