Rear Tow hooks

I would like to mount a rear tow hook on my 987 Boxster for the possibility of a need to be towed from the rear at the track. The front hook goes on every time.

I'm just would like to ovoid a tow truck driver from hurriedly attaching a strap to just any old location at the rear of the car... and pulling.

Does any supplier make a hook/hardware set-up for the rear of 987 models?

Re: Rear Tow hooks

The threads on your factory tow hook will fit either the front or back location, so any aftermarket hook that will fit the front, will also fit the rear. I got my tow hooks at Rennline, they make great products, are nice people, PCA members, and have a selection of folding and non-folding tow hooks.

Re: Rear Tow hooks

And just in case you didn't know... in the the rear, the same tow hook you use in the front screws into a receptacle behind the rear license plate (at least in the Cayman it does).

Re: Rear Tow hooks

Thanks. I did not notice the rear tow hook cover when I put on my rear License plate. I have a Rennline front hook.
