Anyone track their 05-06 987S

I was thinking of tracking my new to me 2005 GT Silver Cocoa Leather Boxster S. The car has only 15k miles on it. Geez I though I got a reasonably good deal at 31.5k. I got a clean bill of health pre cert inspection from my local Porsche dealer.

I don't know, I would really like to put this puppy on the track but all this IMS RMS **** can really take the joy out of your sails.

I have to say I did have previous Boxster and Boxster S with no problems onther than replacing the MAS.

Anyone tracking their 05 06 Boxster/S
Oh I did purcahse an extended warranty

I think you'll find lots of people. Your best bet is to do a bunch of searches, learn the community and the people who are doing what you have in mind, and ask specific questions.

Welcome to the club!

Re: Anyone track their 05-06 987S

I have a '06 CS and regularly do DEs with it, have about 5K track miles out of 52K total mi. I haven't had any engine or transmission issues thus far.

Re: Anyone track their 05-06 987S

I have an '05 Boxster S that I've taken to the track twice in the last 6 months. Bought it a year ago with 8K miles, it now has 13K miles. I've had zero problems with it. Haven't even had to replace the stock pads yet. Guess I'm going too slow

I have an '05 Boxster S and have been doing DEs for over 2 years. Your Porsche is designed to run on the track weekends and then take you to work on the weekdays. Enjoy!

Means you just don't use brakes much. Just scrubs off speed right?

Re: Anyone track their 05-06 987S

I did NJMP two weeks ago as my first DE in my 05 boxster S and was very happy withtthe way the car performed.

I'm going back tomorrow to a DE at NJMP again.

I think the car is fine for the track.
