Track Time 4 cars
HAs anybody been to a Track Time 4 Cars event. I am chomping at the bit to get my Cayman S on a track, any track. The next event that I can find is one put on by this Co. at the New Jersey Motorsports park Lightning on June 12th. Am wondering if it is worth a 4 + hour drive to attend.

Re: Track Time 4 cars
FWIW,
I was at NJMP a few weeks ago and met someone who did a beginners day with them. He said they were good, but he was a novice (like me) and had nothing else to compare it to.
I sent them an email asking for info and never got a reply. I am going to try PDA driving at NJMP on the 20th.

Re: Track Time 4 cars
Thanks,
From the lack of response I am guessing not too many Porsche people attend their events. I am more concerned with getting quality instruction than with Porsche specific instruction. If I could get BOTH that would be awesome.
What is a PDA event?

Re: Track Time 4 cars
As far as non-PCA events go, I've had 5 track days over the years with these guys:
Sports Car Driving Association - Performance Driving in a Safe and Controlled Environment
They have many track days in the NorthEast and I've learned a lot from their instructors.

Schattenbaum Region PCA is running at Lightning @ NJMP 6/17 and 6/18. Riesentoter Region PCA is running at Lightning June 26-June 28. I recommend both organizations. More info about both events can be found at MotorsportReg.com Lightning is fast and fun with a surprising amount of elevation changes for South Jersey.

Thanks Bill,
How does a PCA member who is not a Schattenbaum region member enter their events?

Thanks for the invite Feffman. I may join you at VIR or The Glen, if my schedule permits.

Re: Track Time 4 cars
If you're a PCA member, you can sign up for events in other regions as long as the event is not fully booked. Then local members will take precedence if any spots open up.
Each region has their own registration procedures so you'll have to jump on their websites and figure out what to do.

Re: Track Time 4 cars
No I'll be at Watkins Glen 20-21 with zone 1 PCA. I'll be at lightning later in the year. I like thunderbolt & I've heard very good things about lightning
