Thanks guys!
The Cayman isn't replacing my motorcyle passion, but I won't be surprised if it will take over a bit. I used to ride roadracing races in the national championship, but quit that when the season for 2002 was over. The Superduke I have now is just for the roads. But I plan to take the Cayman to trackdays etc, I'm actually really looking forward to that. But most of this activity has stopped now because of the winter, so I have to wait until spring.
The car didn't come with an extra set of snow tires as default, had to pay extra for that. But it's quite necessary here in Norway.
I'll see if I can take som pictures of the items in the case and the stripes and the interior tomorrow.
Buy the way, I haven't posted anything here before now, but I have been here quite often reading a lot of interesting information. Thanks for that!
And I will probably come here quite often to be updated, tell you about my experiences and be a part of the "Cayman community".

Congratulations Anne........
Anne,
I know exactly how excited you are. I have had many different cars over the past years, my last being a C5 Corvette Convertible, and nothing can compare to getting your first new Porsche.
I know that there are many years of "driving bliss" ahead of you.
All the Best,
Johnny Phoenix, Az.

A real beauty! Congratulations. Just curious about your 19" Turbos, though. Will you have to come back to pick them up or will your dealer deliver or ship them to you?

The car looks great, especially with the all red tail lamps. What goodies were in the special edition case?
More pictures once you have some time please, I'm sure you're out driving the car all the time!

Here I receive the much discussed case with gadgets- The watch was really nice.
I specially love the rear end of the Cayman:
Just before getting in to the car and driving out of the shop:
Picture from the interior. Pasm is default on this one. Compared to what is default on the Edition 1 I have sport chrono plus, black full leather, instrument surround black, and black surrounding the instruments and black air vents slats. I also have homelink and electrically adjustable seats with memory, Bose surround sound system, telephone module for PCM.
Also there is cruise control, parkassist, sports exhaust system and sport shifter. I think the alcatara looks really good in this car. The summer tires are on the 19" turbo wheels, but here in Norway we need winter tires now, and the wintertires are on 18" Cayman S wheels.

Some last advise before I leaver:
I'm very pleased so far. Terribly happy and grateful. I would never think that I would get such a wonderful and beautyful car.

yes indeed I liked the "rear" end to in that photo. oh and the CS was really sharp to:argue

PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
|
 |
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

Number 9. That is great. Beautiful car. I love how you were dressed in black to match the car when you picked it up.
Be sure to post pics of your car out and about in Norway.
Congratulations!

Congrats Anne, I'm sure your very pleased
The Vents are black as standard, i think the whole car looks great, much better than the official pictures show.
I have had mine (No83) 10days now, the clutch and gear stick are starting to loosen up now (1300 miles)..
if you check my link you can compare the interior, although you have added a few more additions than myself
http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-cha...ition-1-a.html
My friend followed me last night and said the Stripes really showed up well under the street light, as during the day you can struggle to notice them from certain angles as they are very subtle.
Have you had a chance to drive her much?

The Watch
I believe the watch is available from the Porsche Design shop, as I popped into the Store on Old Bond Street and they said they were awaiting delivery of the Porsche design Edition 1 items & clothing (not sure if limited in numbers?).
I guess the watch will retail somewhere between £1400-1800 - I need to resize the pictures, will do it in the morning and post.

OK, I assumed the sales person was the woman, the blond. And now I see it is Anne! No wonder the large, beautiful smile!
Now, the car looks fine, but I want to see more photos of the owner!
Call me sexist, call me anything you want but I enjoy beauty.
And if it's from the distance, then so be it!
Come Dante amore Beatrice, so-be-it!
Anyhow, I have bitten my tongue long enough.
As long as I can stand.
I don't care about boyfriends or anything. I want more photos of Anne!
Talk about First Posts! Talk about how beautiful the car is, I want to see the owner!
(And I'll bet you earned the car, Anne! And it is well-deserved. CONGRATS!)
