I am looking at a Base Cayman with Preferred PLUS Package.

Per order guide, it should include REMOTE CD CHANGER and POWER SEATS among with Bi-Xenon headlights. However, my dealer is now telling me that the Preferred Plus package on Base Cayman DOES NOT include Remote CD Changer and Power Seats.

Can someone who has a preferred plus package on Base Cayman confirm this?

I don't understand why someone would pay for Preferred Plus Package option if the only 2 addn things you get compared to Preferred Package are Bose Audio and Bi-Xenon headlights.

Am I not better off just ordering the Bi-Xenon headlights and Bose Audio as stand alone options?

I have a Cayman 2.7 (Base) with Preferred Plus Package. My Cayman didn't come with the CD Changer. Although, mine does have the power seat package. Though, the power seat package doesn't come with the Preferred Plus Package. It was an additional option.

i don't have a cayman, but in my research the difference between preferred and preferred plus is $1,860 vs. if you ordered them separately it would cost $2,040. also, i think it is probably a huge pain to order those items separately. personally, i think the plus package is worth it and would go for it. in the end it just comes down to what you value and what you want. keep in mind, that once you get the bose system it is very difficult to change to a different sound system from what i have read on threads here. good luck.

your dealer is correct in saying those options (power seats and changer) only come with the cayman s under the plus...getting the package would be cheaper then ordering them separately as chasman tells us.

I was going to go this route myself but opted to do things separatley b/c I did not want the Bose package (would rather spend the money on an amp and better speakers) and I did need the self dimming mirrors and rain sensors. But to each their own...that's why the Porsche's options list are pages and pages....

pick wants important to you and leave it at that.

I agree with the above poster, no CD changer and power seats on the base with the package.
